Frequently Asked Questions
Are my GCodes re-usable?
Yes. Users can publish and edit an unlimited number of campaigns, and GCodes can be allocated at will to
any campaign. Once the listing has been sold, simply re-assign the GCode elsewhere.
Do I have to be a text user to take advantage of the service?
No. Consumers use text messaging to inquire about your campaigns so there is no requirement for you to
have or use text messaging. However, if you are familiar with SMS messaging you can optionally receive
lead alerts via text message.
Will my RETS data be used by anyone but myself?
No. The only way RETS data will be utilized is to populate the user's «My Listings» section. From this section,
the user can implement our «MLS Publishing Wizard» and carbon copy the RETS data into the campaign edit screen.
This negates double-entry and enables an agent to publish a listing in less than sixty (60) seconds.
What is a GCode?
A GCode is a unique, 5-digit identifier used to market a specific product or service. When inquiring for information
via text message, consumers input the GCode in the message body. The information assigned to that GCode will be sent
back to the consumer’s mobile phone.
How many photos am I able to display?
Goomzee has just launched Mobile Virtual Tours to work in conjunction with Realty Connect as our photo-delivery service.
The patent-pending system allows the generation and delivery of up to eight (8) photos in slideshow format delivered to
mobile devices as a single message.
How do I login to the system? SSO? or manually?
How about both? The manual log-in page can be accessed from Goomzee's homepage by clicking the «Connect Login» link
in the upper right hand corner. If your organization supports SSO integration with Goomzee, you will be automatically logged
into Realty Connect when you log into your MLS.
Can inquiries be sent to multiple team members -> How do I find out about leads?
Users can select whether they would like to receive alerts by email, or phone, or both. The email alert function has a built-in
feature called «Team Alert». Users can input a comma-delineated list of email addresses which will receive lead
alerts instantly and simultaneously. This feature is perfect for agents who are members of a sales team.
Can I notify my leads of price changes?
Yes. By using the «Notify My Leads» feature, users can notify their contacts of any campaign edits. By clicking the
checkbox «Notify Contacts» in the campaign edit screen, a text message will be sent to all who inquired on that
specific campaign within the last thirty (30) days.
How does a prospective buyer text in for information on the property?
To receive listing information from Goomzee, a buyer would simply form up a text message, addressed to the number "44133", with
the unique GCode in the message body. For example, a correctly-formed inquiry would read like this:
TO #: 44133; MSG:PROP1.
What information do I receive when a prospective buyer inquires about one of my listings?
Based on your preferences, you will receive a lead alert containing the following information: Which campaign was
inquired upon, Date and Time of inquiry, Name and Phone Number of inquirer, and a hyper-link to the Realty Connect
web admin so you can instantly convert your new lead into a valuable contact.
Who uses text messaging?
Perhaps a better question would be this: «Who doesn’t use text messaging?»
Nielsen Mobile reports that as of December 2007,
American mobile users send text messages on a higher frequency than they place phone calls, and the gap between the two
is ever-widening. NeuStar reports that 2.5 billion text messages are sent
each day in America, with 53% of these being typed in by citizens over the age of 35.
Is there a minimum term?
We have a 90-day minimum term but we want customers for life. As market conditions fluctuate, it takes time to determine what
methods work best and educate consumers on new technology. We like to point out that the average commission from selling only one
additional property will pay for our service for nearly 10 years.
Does it cost the consumer money to text my campaigns?
No, nor does it cost the agent any money. It is free for consumers to use the service; however standard messaging rates apply as
dictated by their wireless plan and carrier.
How many inquiries will I receive on my properties?
The amount of inquiries you'll receive varies depending on location, signage, traffic, and consumer interest. It all depends
on how you promote your campaigns (sign, flyer, advertisement). Our customers have found that using our service helps them win
new listings and higher traffic generally occurs when they first list the property.
How can I increase my text message traffic?
Educating consumers about the service improves response rate. While we will provide sign riders, we encourage users to embed their
GCodes into as many advertising mediums as possible, i.e.: flyers, print (newspaper/magazine/periodical) ads, banners,
business cards, billboards, newsletters, websites, and any other place that is regularly viewed by home buyers.
